All hail the Vintage Takeaway!

Greetings Sports Fans! Now, as we creep to Christmas, some of you may be going ape over presents yet to be bought, losing folicles over what to get the girlfriend and just generally fretting over having no time. Well, we hear at The Vintage Wardrobe are an understanding bunch and so we're about to propose something quite exciting....the launch of The Vintage Takeaway!

No folks, we're not doing business with the Colonel and selling vintage by the mega-bucket. Seeing how many of you are so strapped for time, need to be in for Jezza Kyle or don't want to risk falling on your faces, both Nicole and I wanted to promote the season of goodwill by promising to post or even DELIVER any item you've seen online or in store right to your door. For Leeds locals, we'll deliver that fifties dress, faux fur handwarmer or teacup necklace to you asap, saving you the hasstle. For the rest of you, we'll get down to the post office and get it speeding across the country post-haste! Just send us an email on vintagewardrobeleeds@googlemail.com or drop us a facebook and we'll get on the case. Payment can be in cash [if delivered] or through bank transfer. Did we mention that we will even do returns if the glove don't fit [so to speak] Goodwill or WHAT?!

To get into the spirit of it, here's the image Nicole and myself will be channeling throughout the offer. Authentic huh?

Get ordering kids before yer dinner gets cold!

Everyday's A School Day at The Vintage Wardrobe!

Greetings Sports Fans!

Now, we're not sure if it's the rapid approach of Crimbo, all the students jetting off or office booze-ups, but there's something very end-of-term about today [probably justifying why we're blaring out Mystique and trying to MC instead of doing any work] In keeping with the theme, Leeds local school board has [perhaps rather irresponsibly] delivered into our care a 'work-experience' lad, eager to learn about the industry. Just here for a mere 5 days, Sam has quickly got to grips with all the anarchy that goes on in the shop [and in our heads] and has yet to complain. Or call the police.[what a winner]  Making his bloggo debut, here's a mini-essay about his time at the vintage wardrobe, alongside some outfits he threw together, ready for the Jollydays...

Welcome people... Basically I started my work experiwnce on the 6th December. Now getting to the last day of it I have realisied working is better than school! Anyway I chose Vintage Wardrobe as my work experience becuase I had been in the shop a few times, seen some nice items while been greated by the relaxed enviroment. I have been reasonably busy most days with things like pricing stock, re-arranging the store, photos for the blog/facebook etc... Today I put together four outfits which I most liked whithin the shop. Two women's and two men's. Take a look.

Overall, goood times!

Wow. We here at The VW feel proud of punch and its been a pleasure having Sam around to listen to our yammerings and occasional rap-battles. His styling's pretty on the money to - cheques and Barbours a la Lol from 'This is England.' The belted jumper dress is  a big name two, with everyone from Michael Kors to Mccartney, Prada and Rodarte pulling it out of the bag for A/W 10. Glamour on a shoestring? Good show sir!

Well, that's it for another week folks. As we say goodbye to Sam, i can't help but feel a little like the proud Headmaster from the Muppets Christmas Carol [see image below] Good on you boyo - 10 housepoints to, er, well...you! Check back next week for our final festive ramblings!
Ciao for now,
